Afrika Tikkun Development Programmes

In order to provide services and interventions that support young people from Cradle to Career, Afrika Tikkun has three core programmes, each focused on the specific developmental and age-appropriate needs of children and youth. These are:

Early Childhood Development:

Each of our centres provides a holistic Early Childhood Development programme, which is aimed at pre-school age and includes fully balanced nutrition and skills development.

Child & Youth Development:

The Child and Youth Development Programme is an after-school programme for children and youth from Grade 1 to Grade 12, and provides a series of activities that enhance the young person.

Career Development Programme:

The Career Development Programme provides career guidance, job readiness training, job placement and bursaries for further learning. This is targeted at young adults with a matric or equivalent between the ages of 19-29yrs

The National Development Plan identifies unemployed youth as one of nine central challenges, with a statistic of 38% being unemployed. In order to break the cycle of poverty, skills and enterprise development is critical in preparing the youth for career and entrepreneurial opportunities.

This programme primarily caters for ages 19 – 29 years
